Yes, a lot of smart people do not report their UFO sightings and for good reason. Even though the topic of UFOs in general is now more accepted then ever before, there is still an element of society who will judge people who have seen a UFO (or been abducted !) as mad and deranged. So my advice to anyone who has an UFO experience, is to tell “no” one about the sighting, and if you must tell anyone, be sure it is not a government agency. Personally speaking, if you have an UFO encounter, I would suggest you run for your life and don’t look back (if you can that is !), because you will be doing yourself a favour in the long run !

Yep, a lot of people see them but don’t report the sightings, fearing aliens or perhaps being intimidating by someone. Also, loads of the reported cases are not true, they are just cooked up stories to get in the papers. Almost 80% of the cases are not reported!
Only about 40% people believe in U.F.Os, they result of the work of many governmental organizations eg. in the US.A and perhaps even in Russia.
Just as I said, a lot of people are either hallucinating or imagining. Some of the sightings are even the simple effects of light.
Many governments keep the U.F.O. sightings, eg. U.S.A (army especially). Even some presidents of the U.S.A. were involved in this. Heard of the ‘Men in Black’. It was a true story.
Radiology is a branch of science which does take it seriously. But, in poor countries, it is not conducted cause of financial problems whereas government authorities don’t approve of this study in developed countries.
The high profile people are given orders not to conduct such studies and the ‘less-than-qualified-quacks’ are not believed.
