Many people shower over taking a bath for one reason and that is water conservation. There are other reasons but in my home as a growing teen it was frowned upon to take a bath. For starters guys just didn’t take baths but more than that the water heater couldn’t keep up with a house full of teens. When I did take a shower it was rather disappointing. I prefer high pressure shower heads while my mother (the one with the money) liked rain showerheads. I didn’t like these because I just couldn’t seem to get the soap off of me. Little did my mother know that high pressure shower heads typically use less water than other shower heads which are perfect for a water conservationist like she was.
On Saturday morning I had just gotten back from my run when my wife greeted me at the door. She said that there was a problem downstairs. When I got into the basement I noticed that our water heater had appeared to stop working and there was water all over the place. This really didn’t surprise me as our heater was close to 20 years old and I felt it needed to be replaced anyways. Ironically just the day before I had looked at a few Water Heaters, including a Noritz tankless unit. I told my wife I would take care of it.
